Cox Science Center and Aquarium


A hands-on, minds-on experience for the whole family! The Cox Science Center features more than 100 hands-on educational exhibits, a 10,000-gallon aquarium, full-dome digital planetarium, quarter mile-long Fisher Family Science Trail, new mini-golf course, traveling exhibits, and much more. The Cox Science Center provides curious minds of all ages with an entertaining journey through the latest discoveries in science and technology. More than 100 exhibits, an aquarium, and more for guests of all abilities! They offer free wheelchair rentals for guests with physical challenges and the entire Science Center is wheelchair accessible - including the outdoor Science Trail. The Cox science center hosts Sensory Saturdays on the 1st Saturday of each month from 9-10am. Click here for more information. 

  • Saturday and Sunday mornings from 10:00am – 11:00am and weekday afternoons after 2:00 pm (during school year) are often less busy, quieter times to visit for sensory concerns.

  • September is usually a less busy, quieter time of year to visit. 

  • Visitation will vary depending on holidays, school vacations, weather, and other factors.

We Rock The Spectrum (kid’s gym)


We Rock The Spectrum is a kid’s inclusive gym for all kids, it was found by families who are passionate about giving all children a safe place to play and grow, allowing them to become comfortable with their peers, gain self-confidence, and be THE BEST THEY CAN BE! They founded the gym to offer a play space where children can continue to work on developing their play skills and sensory regulation in a safe and nurturing environment. As strong advocates of Early Intervention across Multidisciplinary Therapies (Speech, Occupational, Physical & Behavioral), they aspire to have this gym serve as a community hub for families and caregivers to learn about all of the tremendous resources available to them in Southern Palm Beach County. Through a variety of classes, workshops, and fun programming, Lauren looks forward to offering an amazing experience to ALL children and their families across Palm Beach County.


The gym includes:

  • Suspended equipment with swings for balance and vestibular treatment

  • Crash mats and crash pillows for fun, motor planning, and strength

  • Tunnels & Zip line

  • Trampolines for building leg and core strength 

  • Indoor play structure for climbing and increasing playground skills

  • Sensory-based toys

  • Fine motor play toys and equipment 

  • Arts and crafts area with chalkboard

Urban Air Adventure Park


The ultimate indoor adventure park where kids of all ages (and kids at heart) can explore thrilling attractions, challenge their body and mind, and most importantly…have a blast! They are WAY more than just your average trampoline park. They host an event specifically designed for children with Autism and special needs to enjoy time at the park without loud music, flashing lights- and to have a lot of fun! Barrel O Monkeys


For almost ten years, they’ve been one of the only kid’s gym facilities in the area with age-appropriate programs for tots as young as nine months all the way up to 8 years old.  Structured classes, free play, creative classes, & parents’ night out are just some of the options that they offer! Manatee Lagoon


During Manatee Season, which runs from November 15 to March 31, there are always a ton of manatees playing in the warm-water outflows from Florida Power & Light Company’s adjacent Riviera Beach Next Generation Clean Energy Center.  In the warmer months, you may still see an occasional manatee but there are always other fish and ocean life to explore as well.  Inside, the center features hands-on activities to learn more about manatees and the Lake Worth Lagoon. Manatee Lagoon is a certified autism-friendly business by the Florida Atlantic University Center for Autism and Related Disabilities.  And they are working hard to provide a sensory-friendly experience for all abilities.  There are Sensory Kits available for checkout at the welcome desk if needed.  These contain sunglasses, noise-canceling headphones, a fidget toy, and a weighted manatee plushie.They also offer Sensory Saturdays Date on the third Saturday of each month from 8:00 am – 9:00 am. Children’s Science Explorium and Playground at Sugar Sand Park


The Children’s Science Explorium has two giant rooms of hands-on science fun! Though it is geared towards children 5-12, truly all ages will enjoy it. There is something for everyone to see and do!  From hot air balloons to robotics to airplay with scarves and balls… they have something for every sensory need. And they also feature traveling National Exhibits as well. Outside, there is a butterfly garden, there are watering cans to take care of the flowers and plants, there is a nature trail, and you can even rent (for free) Grab and Go Eco Packs which include tools to help you investigate the plants and critters found throughout the trail. The playground is also very inclusive and features wheelchair-accessible swings, slides, sensory walls, and an expanded climbing structure that allows for access to people of all ages and abilities. There is even a splash pad /water play.  Restrooms are conveniently located next to the playground, as well as water bottles stations and picnic areas.

Chuck E. Cheese


Chuck E. Cheese is proud to support families who have children with autism and other special needs. Through their Sensory Sensitive Sundays program, they offer families a quieter dining and entertainment environment, dimmed lighting and a sensory-friendly arcade experience. The sensory-friendly events also include a trained and caring staff to ensure each guest has a safe, fun-filled visit. They open 2 hours early on the first

Sunday of every month, specifically for children with autism and other special needs.

Jasen Autism Sensory Environment: Boynton


Jasen’s Autism Sensory Environment uses education and resources to support individuals in our community. They are an inclusive sensory integration center where individuals of all abilities can get sensory inputs when they are sensory seeking, or stress relieve when they are sensory sensitive. Their sensory integration environment has custom built equipment that facilitate the development of motor skills, balance, body awareness as well as social and communication skills.
